Elon Musk has returned to Saturday Night Live, through Jeremy Culhane‘s hilarious impression, to give a postmortem of the midterm elections.
As “Weekend Update” co-anchor Colin Jost noted, Musk has been in the news after he wasted half a billion dollars on backing candidates who lost, but the trillionaire disagreed with that take.
“No, I’m in the news because my car did a flip! My car did a flip, remember? It was like a frickin’ Hot Wheel,” Culhane’s Musk told Jost. “But I was like, totally chill. I was like, ‘Thug life!’ Imagine?”
As Jost reminded him, most of the candidates Musk backed lost their elections. “Nice! That was like an epic roast of me. Most vulgar. You know, that’s what I call an epic vulgar roast. And it’s time for a pounding,” said Culhane before initiating an awkward fist bump with Jost.

Following “another epic vulgar roast from Colin Jost, my poorest friend,” Musk revealed Epic Vulgar Roast is actually “AI Grok’s most epic hardcore feature. It’s so vulgar and hilariously funny.”
Musk told Grok to do an “epic vulgar roast” of him as an example, to which the robotic voice generated, “Elon Musk, you’re the worst thing South Africa has ever done. When you’re on TV, it feels like an episode of Hate on the Spectrum. Maybe if you have 100 more kids, one of them will talk to you.”
The sketch comes after Musk attempted to brush off his election losses with an attempt at a joke. “Data centers in space looking pretty appealing right now. Guess my election-interfering space lasers didn’t work this time,” he wrote on X.
In addition to Druski’s SNL hosting debut — marking the first content creator without a current movie or TV show to host the sketch comedy show — The Strokes served as musical guest for a fifth time on this weekend’s episode.
