Eric Bauza To Make Posthumous Debut In ‘The Simpsons’ Playing Two Characters

Eric Bauza had more than 400 acting credits, voicing dozens of Looney characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Foghorn Leghorn, Pepé Le Pew, Porky Pig, Road Runner, Elmer Fudd and Marvin the Martian and many more prior to his unexpected death on October 25 at the age of 46. But one iconic animated series eluded him – The Simpsons.

He had recently been cast to voice two characters — restaurateur “Mr. Fong” and newspaper editor “Harry Metsali”. The “Dream Scenari-Moe” episode of The Simpsons airs Sunday, November 15 at 8 pm on Fox.

Here’s the logline for the “Dream Scenari-Moe’ episode: “When Moe has trouble sleeping, he enrolls in a brand-new sleep study that gives him the greatest romantic comedy dreams of his life. But unbeknownst to him, his beautiful fantasy comes at a nightmarish price.”

Bauza died of hypertensive cardiovascular disease, according to records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. The manner of death was ruled natural, and the report lists sleep apnea and class 2 obesity as contributing significant conditions.
