Walton Goggins is escaping the desert wastelands of the New California Republic as he wraps Season 3 of Fallout.
On Wednesday, the Golden Globe nominee revealed he completed filming the latest season of the Prime Video series as irradiated bounty hunter Ghoul, sharing a video of himself driving through the desert in a convertible with the top down.
“Just took it off for the last time.. Season 3,” Goggins captioned the post. “Gatdamn this felt good. I wish this road or this song would never end. Gonna miss you California… til the next time. #Fallout”
The post had some fans scratching their heads over whether Goggins meant he had removed his Ghoul prosthetics “for the last time,” but the show has not officially been renewed or canceled beyond Season 3. Deadline has reached out to Prime.

Goggins’ post comes after Prime gave the video game series adaptation an early Season 3 renewal in May 2025, ahead of the show’s Season 2 premiere last December.
In addition to Goggins reuniting with co-stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias and Frances Turner, new additions to the Season 3 cast include Aaron Paul, Manny Jacinto, Emily Mortimer and Thomasin McKenzie.
Based on the popular video game series, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.
With Season 3 wrapped, Goggins is joining Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler in the cast of Miami Vice ’85 from Universal.
