Key Quote: “Honestly, I didn’t grow up with any influence of watching horror. Nobody in my family or friends ever wanted me to watch horror, so it’s funny. I feel like it just follows me around since Chucky. I love working in horror, I’m starting to like watching it more,” Howell on her young “scream queen” status. “I didn’t watch Carrie before. And I asked Mike after all those auditions and once I had the role if he wanted me to, like, ‘Do you want me to read the book? Do you want me to do my research?’ And he said, ‘No.’ We agreed it was better for me to stick to what I was doing, create my own version. Now, I’ve seen the original, I watched it with him.”
Flanagan added, “We had a screening with the cast and crew when we wrapped it. We screened it in Vancouver at the Rio.”
