Kelsey Cook Sets Netflix Stand-Up Special ‘Happy Hour’

EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Kelsey Cook is set to unveil her debut Netflix special, Happy Hour, on Tuesday, August 18.

In the special, following up last year’s Mark Your Territory and 2023’s The Hustler, Cook explores “hangxiety,” relives a plane bathroom nightmare, and breaks down dating a literal Chad. She filmed it at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota with Eric Abrams directing. Abrams also exec produced alongside Cook and Lisa Mierke, with Matt Schuler serving as producer.

Cook’s most recent special, Mark Your Territory, released on both Hulu and YouTube, made the Top 15 most streamed specials for 2025. During its run on Hulu, it also topped the charts as the platform’s #1 comedy special by a female comedian. The special has been streamed over 1.6 million times on YouTube while The Hustler has over 4.4 million views.

The daughter of an International Yo-Yo Champion and a Professional Foosball player, Cook jokes that this gave her zero chance of having a normal career one day. Currently on her Reasonable Bedtime Tour, headlining over 40 cities across the country, she also co-hosts the Pretend Problems Podcast with her fiancé and fellow comedian, Chad Daniels, and is behind the foosball web series Wrists of Fury, where she hustles fellow comedians who don’t know she’s a World Champion foosball player.

Cook has performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon multiple times, and has also appeared on Good Morning America, CBS’ After Midnight and The Talk, Comedy Central’s This is Not Happening, Epix’s Unprotected Sets, and more. She is repped by Mosaic, CAA, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
