Soccer fever has hit Los Angeles with the 23rd FIFA World Cup at SoFi Stadium.
On Friday, ahead of the U.S.A. vs Paraguay match, stars like Paris Hilton, Jaafar Jackson, Rob Lowe, Will Forte, Becky G, Josh Peck and more walked the red carpet for L.A.’s Opening Ceremony as they showed their support for the home team.

With Dan + Shay performing the U.S. national anthem, and Paraguay’s Purahei Soul singing ‘Himno Nacional Paraguayo’, the ceremony also featured performances by Katy Perry, Future, Blackpink’s Lisa, Anitta, Remi and Tyla.
Running June 11-19, with 48 teams competing in matches hosted by 16 different cities, the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicked off Thursday with Mexico beating South Africa (2-o) and South Korea besting Czechia (2-1). Earlier on Friday, Canada tied with Bosnia and Herzegovina (1-1).
