Spencer Pratt‘s near deafening silence over being shut out of the runoff race to be Los Angeles’ Mayor has come to an end, sorta.
Three days after counted ballots in the bids between The Hills self-declared villain and Councilmember Nithya Raman to secure the second spot in the mayoral election this fall saw former Palisades resident Pratt fall short to face off against incumbent Karen Bass, the failed candidate took to his fav medium of social media.
In an uncharacteristically brief salvo posted on Elon Musk’s X, Pratt simply asked: “Are they done counting yet?”

The answer is no, but for Donald Trump endorsed Pratt the possibility of acquiring enough votes to get in front of progressive Raman are statistically a non-starter. As of the latest ballot drop of June 10 in California‘s admittedly slow tallying process, Pratt has 216,783 votes That translates to 25.52% of the counted votes as of right now.
Locked in to take each other on in November Bass has 291.397 votes and two-term City Councillor Raman has snagged 246,333 votes. According to L.A. County election results, that’s 34.30% for L.A.’s 43rd Mayor and an growing 29.0% for 11th hour contender Raman.
More election results are expected later Thursday, but they are not anticipated to significantly change anything at this stage.
Weeks ago, when his online blasts and West L.A. support had Pratt as a potential civic politics player, the The Guy You Loved to Hate: Confessions from a Reality TV Villain author promised he would leave the City of Angels if he didn’t get elected Mayor. After it became clear Pratt would not be achieving that goal, Jimmy Kimmel advocated the Hills star keep his word. Pratt hit back Wednesday, reminding the ABC late night host and everyone else that he and his family had lost their home in last year’s devastating wildfires.
“Jimmy Kimmel i guess you missed the part of the story i don’t need a U-Haul…I have nothing left to pack,” Pratt posted, with footage of the rubble and charred ground where he and Heidi Montag once lived with their children.
The Palisades fire and the admittedly lackluster response to rebuild became Pratt’s rallying cry when he entered the mayoral race last year. Adding quality of life issues like wide spread homelessness, boarded up store fronts and animal cruelty to his attractive protest campaign over time, Pratt snared a coterie of loud Hollywood supporters ranging from MAGA inclined James Woods to Paris Hilton and Entourage creator Doug Ellin.
Even with an initial strong showing against Bass on June 2 primary day , it wasn’t enough to get Pratt over the line. The backing of the ICE loving and deeply unpopular Trump in the heavily Democratic L.A. didn’t help. News that Pratt actually wasn’t living in a trailer on his burnt Palisades property, but instead racking up $15,000 plus bills at the Hotel Bel-Air (while his family was in a house in Santa Barbara County didn’t prove a winning look either.
Even with the projected Bass vs Raman battle set, it is expected that Pratt will either ask for a recount or take court action over the mayoral results. Getting into another skirmish with outgoing Gov. Gavin Newsom, Trump and MAGA loyalists have already been undermining California’s slow-ish but comprehensive vote results but Pratt has said nothing publicly on his next move — yet.
