Ahead of the summer season premiere of Love Island UK, production is asking viewers to “keep the vibes high.”
The ITV2 dating series has a passionate fan base, and things can get pretty brutal on social media as the show plays on. As the Islanders get ready to start their journey in search of love, a reminder to audiences to keep “the energy positive” was shared online.
“For our Islanders, this summer is all about finding love, having fun, escapint reality, and making memories that last a lifetime,” read the statement shared on Instagram Stories.
The statement continued, “We love the passion you have for the show, and we love your commentary, memes, debates, and seeing everyone so invested in the journey. We just ask that while the drama unfolds, everyone remembers there are real people behind the screen.”

“Let’s keep the vibes high, the energy positive, and let’s make this a summer to remember,” the statement concluded.
The statement from Love Island UK is similar to the one Love Island USA posted ahead of their cast reveal last week. In the statement, production urged viewers to “keep it kind” and reminded audiences that “the villa runs on good vibes.”
Love Island UK is set to premiere on Monday, June 1, at 9 p.m. in the U.K. on ITV2 and stream on ITVX. U.S. viewers will be able to stream the series on Hulu starting on June 4.
