On the heels of Fat Rascal, which premiered on Netflix in 2023, and amid work on Shane Gillis’ Netflix comedy series Tires, comedian Stavros Halkias has inked a deal with the streamer for another comedy special, titled Uncle Stav.
No word yet on what specifically Halkias will be discussing, though the title obviously bears familial connotations and the comic often has joked about being a “weird uncle.”
Set to launch later this year, the special will tape at The Lyric in Halkias’ hometown of Baltimore, Maryland on April 24th and 25th, with Halkias and Ben O’Brien exec producing for Stavvy Baby Entertainment.
One of today’s most popular young comics, Halkias came to Netflix after taking to YouTube with his breakout debut Live at the Lodge Room, which hit one million views in its first four days and has since surpassed seven million. He first gained recognition as a founding member and former co-host of the hit podcast Cum Town and now hosts the popular pod Stavvy’s World, which debuted at #3 on the iTunes Comedy Charts, amassing hundreds of thousands of subscribers in its first year.

Based in New York City, Halkias has been diversifying his creative output of late as an actor, with an appearance alongside Jesse Plemons in Bugonia, the Oscar-nominated film by Yorgos Lanthimos. He also recently wrote, produced, and starred in the indie comedy Let’s Start a Cult and will next be seen in The Comeback King, Universal’s Judd Apatow-directed comedy starring Glen Powell, as well as A24’s film Tony on Anthony Bourdain. Currently on The Dreamboat Tour, he is repped by UTA and Schreck Rose Dapello.
