The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has opened the envelope on the key dates for its 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards. See it below.
We learned last month that the 78th annual ceremony is set for Monday, September 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles — shifting from the usual Sunday slot because of an NFL game on NBC. ATAS said today that the nominations will be revealed on Wednesday, July 8, for programs that air between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026.
The two-night Creative Arts Emmys will be on Saturday and Sunday, September 5 and 6, also at the Peacock Theater.

The TV Academy also said Friday that select Emmy rules changes will be announced during the week of December 15-19. and that the complete 2026 Emmy Rules and Procedures will be posted at the end of January on emmys.com.
NBC will air the primetime ceremony live coast-to-coast starting at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, and Peacock will stream it.
