The Golden Globes has revealed the 25 titles that have qualified for the new Best Podcast category, which will be introduced at the 2026 ceremony. The list includes such popular draws across various demographics and political leanings as The Joe Rogan Experience, Call Her Daddy, SmartLess, Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, The Ben Shapiro Show, The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show and The Tucker Carlson Show. (You can see a full list below.) Notably missing is the Kelce brothers’ New Heights.
Per the Globes, Luminate determines the Top 25 qualifying podcasts among all eligible ones based on a list of criteria, including audience reach and engagement, revenue and chart rankings, using direct data from platforms. (Luminate is owned by Deadline parent PMC, which co-owns the Golden Globes.)
The Top 25 podcasts will now be invited to submit themselves for Golden Globes consideration. Globes voters will determine six nominees from the pool of submissions.

This marks the first time podcasts have been recognized by a major film and TV awards show. Outside of digital-forward awards shows like the Webby Awards, the Ambies, the iHeart Podcast Awards and the Shorty Awards, the Peabody Awards and the NAACP Image Awards have featured podcast categories.
Nominations for the 2026 Globes in all now 27 categories will be announced December 8, with the awards handed out during the 83rd Golden Globes on January 11, 2026, when Nikki Glaser returns to host the ceremony airing live on CBS and Paramount+ with Showtime.
