‘Landman’ Casts Stefania Spampinato As Andy Garcia’s Wife In Season 2

EXCLUSIVE: Stefania Spampinato is headed to oil country. The vet of Station 19 and Grey’s Anatomy will recur as Andy Garcia‘s wife in season two of Landman for Paramount+.

Garcia plays Gallino, a cartel boss who showed up in the season one finale of the Taylor Sheridan drama. Gallino spared Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) from a torturous end in the final moments of the episode that aired Jan. 12.

It’s unclear, for now, when viewers can expect to see Spampinato, who last appeared as Dr. Carina DeLuca on ABC’s Station 19. She originated the role on Grey’s Anatomy in 2017. Her previous credits include Ford v. Ferrari and The Chosen Ones.

She is repped by Vault Entertainment and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof & Fishman.

In January, Thornton told Deadline that “it was really great working with Andy because he and I have known each other for years and it’s the first time we worked together.”

“It was kind of neat to have the old veterans come head to head in the finale,” he continued. “Andy and I are similar in the way we think about acting, but Andy’s a much fancier guy than I am. In other words, he’s perfect for that guy and then me for the dirty oil guy who barely ever changes his shirts. It was just very natural, very organic, what we did there. And plus he saved my butt there at the end, didn’t he?”

Up until the finale, Tommy had never met Gallino.

In March, Landman was renewed by Paramount+ for a second season. For the final quarter of 2024, Landman ranked as one of the overall Top 10 streaming original series, along with two other Paramount+ favorites, Tulsa King and Lioness. Per Paramount Global, the premiere episode has amassed 35M global viewers.

Landman holds the titles for most-watched global premiere and finale of any Paramount+ series to date, the streamer said.

Landman is executive produced by co-creator Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, co-creator Christian Wallace, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay.
