EXCLUSIVE: Veteran New York comic Mike Vecchione is set to unveil his new special, Low Income White, on the YouTube channel of Nate Bargatze’s Nateland Entertainment on June 27.
In the special, directed by Mike Lavin, which taped at The Lab at Zanies in Nashville, Vecchione unloads a barrage of fast-paced, observational humor that hits on everything from aging and generational divides to the absurdity of modern life. A trailer for the hour can be found above.
Bargatze and Adrian Kulp exec produced for Nateland, which has prior to this lined up four specials for release this year. As part of its efforts at building a clean comedy network, the company is unveiling Season 3 of Nateland Presents: The Showcase on July 16.
A former special education teacher who’s been on the stand-up circuit for more than two decades, Vecchione’s last special, The Attractives, directed and produced by Bargatze, was released in 2023. Prior to that, he put out the acclaimed comedy album The Worst Kind of Thoughtful, which Vulture named the best of 2018.
