The Season 2 finale of 1923 has amassed 14M views in the week since it debuted on Paramount+, per parent company Paramount Global.
That’s the biggest audience ever for the series, marking a 41% versus the Season 1 finale audience of 10M. This caps a successful season of growth for the Yellowstone prequel with Season 2 averaging a 46% increase over the Season 1 audience, according to Paramount.
Paramount Global now defines “viewers” as total watch time divided by run time. Deadline has denoted this metric as “views,” similar to reporting from other streamers like Netflix and Disney+, given that this is an estimation of the individual views, rather than a calculation of how many people were actually watching.
The series was pretty buzzy on social this season as well, delivering eight times the social views of the first season with 163M.
