MARKETS INCREASE PRICING OF TWO OR MORE FED CUTS
Bets on multiple Fed rate cuts this year are rising as U.S. economic signals weaken. The odds of two or more cuts by December are now 63%, up from 62% last Friday and 52% a week ago, per CME’s FedWatch tool. Recent softer wholesale prices and disappointing activity data, like the Chicago Fed’s index and Texas manufacturing survey, have eased earlier inflation worries that suggested the Fed might pause longer.
