💎 BTC.X ETH.X FBI CREATES CRYPTOCURRENCY IN QUEST TO CATCH CRIMINALS
The Federal Bureau of Investigation created a fake cryptocurrency and company as part of a government investigation that resulted in fraud charges against 18 companies and individuals.
The charges, which were unsealed in Boston Wednesday, alleged that three crypto trading firms, along with their employees, engaged in wash trading and conspired to manipulate the prices of NexFundAI, a crypto token created by the FBI as part of its investigation into market manipulation in the crypto industry. A fourth firm and its employees are also charged for perpetrating a similar scheme.
