EXCLUSIVE: Margaret Cho has joined the cast of Olivia Haller‘s indie half-hour comedy series And Also With You, in addition to signing on as an executive producer.
The comedian will star in the series as Bev, the longtime best friend and coworker of Dawn, a Midwestern woman in her late 50s working at her local Catholic church, who comes out as bisexual. The series is inspired by Haller’s experience growing up Catholic before coming out as bi.
Also starring alongside Cho are Vico Ortiz (Our Flag Means Death, Vida), Alexis Floyd (Grey’s Anatomy), Jon Snow (The Rookie), Leah Knauer (Jay and Silent Bob Reboot) and Evan Gambardella (Straight Until He Kissed Me).
Cho serves as EP alongside showrunner Haller and Tara Hotchkis, a writer on the series. Also part of the writing room are Julia Barnett, Bailey Benningfield, Hunter Ries and Fiorella Vescovi. Additionally, the production team includes Lauren Bennett as producer and casting director, with Erin Brown Thomas as producing director.
