Hulu has released a trailer for its upcoming Mindy Kaling workplace comedy, Not Suitable For Work, coming to the streamer June 2.
Set in the Manhattan neighborhood of Murray Hill, Not Suitable For Work follows five twenty-somethings finding their groove in young adulthood and struggling to maintain a work life balance as they start their careers.
Ella Hunt’s AJ Pascarelli, a first-year analyst at an investment bank, prepares for work by declaring an “alpha” day inspired by The Wolf of Wall Street. Her intimidating boss Bill Gibson (Jay Ellis) summons her and some other newbies to ask about Yarn Barn.
Avantika’s Abhinaya “Abby” Chilukuri is a fashion assistant to a demanding celebrity stylist (Constance Wu). She gets scolded for her behavior with The Gilded Age star Harry Richardson’s client, who asks her if she was checking him out.

Kaling created Not Suitable for Work and executive produces with showrunner Charlie Grandy (The Sex Lives of College Girls, The Mindy Project) and 3 Arts Entertainment’s Howard Klein. The series is produced by Kaling International in association with Warner Bros. Television, where both Kaling and Grandy are under overall deals.
