Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Still Developing TV, Films & Docs At Netflix: “There’s No Juicy Story There”

Netflix has tried to dappen down the noise around its relationship with Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria said that the pair have a number of projects in development at the streamer, including projects across TV, film and documentary.

This comes as stories continue to emerge about the pair’s move into Hollywood over the last few years. The streamer did withdraw as an investor in Markle’s lifestyle brand As Ever recently and there are no plans for a third season of With Love, Meghan.

“We still have a relationship with them. We have movies in development with them. We have an amazing doc with them. They have things in development on the TV and film side. Deals come and go all the time, and we don’t renew so many deals, those just don’t get as much press for obvious reasons. There’s no juicy story there,” Bajaria said at the Next on Netflix press event.

Watch on Deadline

Bajaria’s comments echo ones she made in February 2024.

In December, Deadline revealed that Tracy Oliver would adapt The Wedding Date, a feature film in the works at Netflix that is produced by the pair’s Archewell banner. They were also developing a feature adaptation of Carley Fortune’s Meet Me At The Lake.

Last year, the streamer downgraded the deal that it had with them from an overall deal to a first-look arrangement.

They had success with the Harry & Meghan docuseries but other projects such as Live To Live, Heart of Invictus and Polo failed to pull up many trees.

With Love, Meghan, the lifestyle series fronted by Markle, also did not cook up much of a following in the second half of 2025. The series, which launched its second season on August 26, was viewed only 2M times in the last four months of the year. It was the 1,217th most-watched title on Netflix over the second half of the year, per Netflix’s What We Watched data dump. The show’s special – With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration – fared slightly better, coming in at 1,015 on the list with 2.4M views.
