The road to the 83rd Annual Golden Globes officially began Thursday with the traditional red carpet rollout. Host Nikki Glaser joined Nobu Matsuhisa, Barry Adelman, Glenn Weiss, and Helen Hoehne to signal the start of Hollywood’s premier party circuit. 

The celebrations continued Friday evening as Donna Langley hosted an exclusive event for Universal, Focus Features, DreamWorks Animation, and Universal Television Group at Mother Wolf. Guests in attendance included Wicked: For Good director Jon M. Chu, Bugionia director Yorgos Lanthimos, and Jesse Plemons, plus Chloé Zhao and Jessie Buckley representing Hamnet.

NEON hosted a special party to celebrate their historic 21 Golden Globes Nominations at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Globes Nominees Elle Fanning, Wagner Moura, Joachim Trier, Lee Byung Hun, Jafar Panahi, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Renate Reinsve, Park Chan-wook, Eskil Vogt, Natalie Portman, Kleber Mendonça Filho, Stellan Skarsgård, Oliver Lax, and Ugo Bienvenu were in attendance. 

Kangding Ray, Composer of Sirāt and Globes Nominee, performed a special DJ set Jenelle James, Tessa Thompson, Chase Sui Wonders, Dakota Fanning, Britt Lower, Alden Ehrenreich, Kevin Bacon, Alison Brie, Dave Franco, Sandra Oh, Awkwafina, Lake Bell & The Heated Rivalry cast Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Nadine Bhabha all let their hair down for and enjoyed.

Earlier in the week, the glamour was equally high at a private Los Angeles residence, where Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière and W Magazine held an intimate dinner. The star-studded guest list featured A-listers including Emma Stone, Renate Reinsve, Teyana Taylor, Ana De Armas, Rhea Seehorn, Kate Hudson and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.

Earlier in the week, Cecil B. DeMille honoree Helen Mirren and Carol Burnett Award recipient Sarah Jessica Parker headlined the “Golden Eve” special, which filmed Tuesday and aired this past Thursday on CBS.

Momentum will pick up today, as the primary day for pre-ceremony celebrations, starting with the sophisticated BAFTA Tea Party at the Four Season Hotel, Beverly Hills, in the afternoon, and the Amazon MGM Studios and Vanity Fair Awards Season Celebration at Bar Marmont.

The week culminates on Sunday, January 11, with the main awards ceremony hosted by Nikki Glaser at the Beverly Hilton. The day starts with the red carpet arrivals followed by the live broadcast. Once the show concludes, the festivities transition into late-night after-parties, including the official Golden Globes celebration held on-site at the Hilton, where winners and nominees gather to celebrate through the night. Nikki Glaser will host an afterparty at Sunset Tower, co-hosted by UTA & Brillstein Entertainment Partners; Netflix will host a private event at Spago, and Universal Entertainment post-party will be at Dante Beverly Hills.
