Critics Choice Awards Photos: Best Of The Red Carpet

The 31st Critics’ Choice Awards is taking over Los Angeles’ Barker Hangar tonight, bringing together the biggest names in entertainment to celebrate the year’s top achievements in both film and television. Chelsea Handler returned to host the awards show, renowned for its predictive accuracy, often foreshadowing Academy Award nominations. Notably, four new categories have been added to this year’s show: Best Variety Series, Best Stunt Design, Best Casting and Ensemble, and Best Sound.

Nominees and guests include Owen Cooper, Craig Robinson, Hannah Einbinder, Lee Byung-hun, Denée Benton, Jeff Goldblum, Stephen Graham, and Erin Doherty, who all walked the red carpet with more to come.

Sinners leads the film contenders with 17 nominations, nearly matching the record of 18 that Barbie achieved two years ago. Sinners collected a nod for Best Picture, while cast members Michael B. Jordan, Wunmi Mosaku, and Miles Caton are up for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Young Actor / Actress, respectively. Ryan Coogler was recognized in the categories of Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, and the film also received nods for Best Casting and Ensemble, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Hair and Makeup, Best Visual Effects, Best Stunt Design, Best Song, Best Score, and Best Sound. Rounding out the film achievements, One Battle After Another emerged as a strong runner-up with 14 nominations.

Adolescence leads this year’s television nominees with six nominations. With six nominations, the series is the clear frontrunner for Best Limited Series, fueled by a stellar cast that took up five different acting slots. Not to be outdone, Nobody Wants This also made a splash, landing five nominations in a highly competitive year.

The show will broadcast LIVE on both coasts on E! and USA Network on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. ET/ 4:00-7:00 p.m. PT.
