2026 is a big year for TV, and that’s saying something as two of the most popular recent shows — Netflix’s Stranger Things and Prime Video’s The Summer I Turned Pretty — concluded their stories in 2025.
January alone boasts the return of such HBO/HBO Max dramas as The Pitt and Industry and the premiere of Game of Thrones prequel series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Also at the end of the month, the newest Marvel series Wonder Man will begin its rollout. And how could we forget the fourth season of Netflix’s Bridgerton — split into two parts again this round — or Season 3 of Apple’s comedy Shrinking?

February has Peacock’s Keke Palmer-starring remake of The Burbs, Season 3 of The Night Agent and Season 2 of Apple’s book adaptation drama The Last Thing He Told Me in store. March and April are pretty packed too.
Here are the most anticipated new and returning scripted TV series on their way next year, and stay tuned as we add titles throughout 2026 when dates are announced.

‘The Pitt’ Season 2, HBO Max – January 8
Image Credit: HBO Max It’s been 10 months since the events of HBO Max’s hit medical drama The Pitt’s Season 1 finale, when viewers will tune in on January 8 for the Season 2 premiere. It’s Fourth of July weekend, and as one can imagine, it’s prime time for hospitals like Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center, what with fireworks, family barbeques, and drunken escapades. To add fuel to the fire, Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) opens up the show’s sophomore season by declaring he will be leaving on a sabbatical to begin on the second day of the weekend. Whether that actually happens is yet to be seen, but there are two capable doctors who have his back: Dr. Abbot (Shawn Hatosy) and newcomer Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi (Sepideh Moafi). While we can’t give away much, we can confidently say that The Pitt knows nothing of a sophomore slump.

‘Industry’ Season 4, HBO Max – January 11
Image Credit: Simon Ridgway / HBO HBO’s financial drama is returning at the start of the year with just one notably missing face: Harry Lawtey’s Robert Spearing. Season 4 is sure to be full of intrigue, though, after creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay jumped the shark last season to expand the story far beyond the trading floors at Pierpoint & Co. With Harper (Myha’la), Yasmin (Marisa Abela), Rishi (Sagar Radia) and Eric (Ken Leung) all at a crossroad, there’s no telling where Down and Kay might take them next. The new season also will include the return of Kit Harington and Miriam Petche, as well as new cast members Max Minghella, Kal Penn, Kiernan Shipka, and more.

‘Ponies’ – Peacock, January 15
Image Credit: Peacock Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson will lead Ponies (“persons of no interest”), Peacock’s espionage thriller set in the 1970s. Clarke (Game of Thrones) executive produces and dons an American accent in the trailer for the spy show as Bea. Richardson (The White Lotus) plays small-town girl Twila, and she was cast following Clarke as the abrasive and fearless compliment to Bea’s collected character. The cast also includes Adrian Lester, Artjom Gilz, Nicholas Podany, Petro Ninovskyi and Vic Michaelis.

‘Wonder Man’ – Disney+, January 27
Image Credit: Marvel Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as the titular superhero in Marvel’s newest Disney+ series, which has been billed as a love letter to filmmaking, acting and Hollywood itself. While we know that Abdul-Mateen plays Simon Williams, an actor navigating the film industry in a world full of superheroes, most details about the plot are being kept under wraps for now. What we do know is that Arian Moayed will reprise his role as Agent Cleary from Spiderman: No Way Home, and Ben Kingsley will be back as Trevor Slattery.

‘Shrinking’ Season 3, Apple TV – January 28
Image Credit: Apple TV Jason Segel’s Jimmy and Harrison Ford’s Paul as well as Jessica Williams’ Gaby will return for more psychoanalyzing and “moving forward” in the third season of Apple TV’s Shrinking from Bill Lawrence, Segel and Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein, who serves as writer and co-creator as well as guest star. Season 2 left off on a heartfelt Thanksgiving montage and Jimmy ultimately forgiving Goldstein’s Louis, a big reveal in the second season.

‘Bridgerton’ Season 4, Netflix – January 29
Image Credit: Liam Daniel/Netflix The ton shall cease hungering for more gossip, at least for a bit, when Netflix’s Bridgerton Season 4 waltzes back onto the small screen. But be warned, dearest gentle reader: The fourth installment has been split into two batches like Season 3 was. Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) will take center stage this time around as they first meet at Lady Bridgerton’s Masquerade Ball and then get to know each other under very different circumstances. Part 1’s four episodes will arrive January 29, with Part 2’s next four bowing February 20.

‘The Burbs’ – Peacock, February 8
Image Credit: Elizabeth Morris / Peacock Inspired by the 1989 horror comedy, Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall star in The Burbs as new parents Samira and Rob, who move into his suburban childhood neighborhood. But when a mysterious stranger (Justin Kirk) purchases the creepy house across the street, where a young woman went missing years before, Samira and her nosey neighbors (Paula Pell, Julia Duffy and Mark Proksch) start poking around. Fans of the movie can expect a familiar cameo. All episodes premiere Sunday, February 8, on Peacock.

‘The Last Thing He Told Me’ Season 2, Apple TV – February 20
Image Credit: Apple TV Season 2 of The Last Thing He Told Me will take viewers and readers of Laura Dave’s novel on which the first season was based into new territory with Jennifer Garner’s Hannah, Angourie Rice’s Bailey Michaels and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s Owen Michaels. The second season will be based on Dave’s brand new follow-up novel The FIrst TIme I Saw Him, which publishes January 6 ahead of Season 2’s February 20 premiere on Apple TV. New faces next season will include Judy Greer, Rita Wilson, Michael Galante, John Noble and Luke Kirby.

‘Paradise’ Season 2 – Hulu, February 23

Brown’s Xavier sets out to find his wife Teri (Enuka Okuma). Three years after the apocalyptic event that was believed to have brought about the end of civilization, Xavier’s discovery that there are survivors — and that the world below ground that he’d helped build wasn’t all that it seemed — at the end of the first season has set the stage for an intriguing sophomore season. Season 2 will also introduce some new characters, including Shailene Woodley’s Shayen.

‘Y: Marshals’ – CBS, March 1
Image Credit: CBS Kayce Dutton’s (Luke Grimes) Yellowstone spinoff sequel will arrive on CBS in March. The second son of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton III has decided to branch off of Yellowstone ranch and join an elite unit of U.S. marshals. It is unclear if Kelsey Asbille’s Monica will appear in this story. The cast also includes Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos and Tatanka Means.

‘Outlander’ Season 8, Starz – March 6
Image Credit: Starz Fans of Starz’s time-hopping historical drama series Outlander soon will be over “droughtlander” as the series premieres its eighth and final season on March 6. In the final chapter of Outlander, a heart-wrenching journey lies ahead for Claire (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie’s (Sam Heughan) enduring love story. As Season 8 begins, Jamie and Claire soon find the war has followed them home to Fraser’s Ridge, now a thriving settlement that has grown and flourished in their absence. With new arrivals and changes made during their years away, the Frasers are confronted with the question of what they are willing to sacrifice for the place they call home and, more importantly, what they would sacrifice to stay together. While the Frasers keep a united front against outside intruders, family secrets finally coming to light threaten to tear them apart from the inside.

‘Scarpetta’ – Prime Video, March 11
Image Credit: Prime Video Nicole Kidman will be back on the small screen in Prime Video’s upcoming crime thriller Scarpetta, based on Patricia Cornwell’s bestselling Kay Scarpetta novels. Kidman plays the titular medical examiner, who has a tense relationship with her sister Dorothy Farinelli (Jamie Lee Curtis). The show landed a two-season order at Amazon, and the cast also includes Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale, Emmy nominee Simon Baker, Rosy McEwen and Jake Cannavale.

‘One Piece’ Season 2, Netflix – March 20
Image Credit: Casey Crafford/Netflix The upcoming second season of One Piece, Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s beloved manga, is titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, setting up its premise. As teased in the Season 1 finale, Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and the Straw Hats, Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero) and Sanji (Taz Skylar), set sail for the Grand Line — a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn – as they continue their quest for the legendary fabled treasure, One Piece.

‘Rooster’ – HBO Max, March
Image Credit: HBO The long-awaited comedy collaboration between Steve Carell, Bill Lawrence and more finally has a title — Rooster — and will arrive in March. The show also stars Charly Clive as the daughter to Carell’s teacher. Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley and Lauren Tsai also star. Those who may start to miss Lawrence’s other comedy, Shrinking, as the third season rolls out on Apple TV can check out this new series from the television boss and Matt Tarses.

‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Season 2, Apple TV – April 3
Image Credit: Apple TV Jon Hamm’s Coop, a disgraced financier, was cleared of murdering the ex-husband of his lover, played by Olivia Munn, at the end of the first season of the Apple TV drama. He also got away with his secret life of stealing from his rich neighbors. However, rather than stepping away from a life of crime and back into the world of corporate finance, Coop seems to be keen on stealing even more. However, the introduction of a new neighbor, played by James Marsden, threatens to expose him in the sophomore season. The 10-part drama series from creator Jonathan Tropper runs through the start of June and also stars Amanda Peet, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt and Donovan Colan. Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 premieres April 3 on Apple TV.

‘The Boys’ Season 5, Prime Video – April 8
Image Credit: Prime Video As The Boys returns for its fifth and final season, the titular underdogs will hopefully settle their beef with the all-powerful Homelander (Antony Starr). Following the Season 2 finale of spin-off Gen V, Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and her classmates have joined Starlight’s (Erin Moriarty) resistance, which appears to be the last line of defense against Homelander. The final season will debut on April 8, 2026 with a two-episode premiere, culminating in a May 20, 2026 series finale.

‘Euphoria’ Season 3, HBO Max – April
Image Credit: HBO After more than four years, Euphoria’s third and likely final season will grace the small screen in the spring. Most of the major players are returning, including Zendaya’s Rue Bennett as well as Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow), Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie), Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), Cassie Howard (Sydney Sweeney) and Jules Vaughn (Hunter Schafer). There are also plenty of new cast members since the story will be set “a few years after high school,” as the first glimpse at Season 3 indicated. Creator Sam Levinson has said that Season 3 is about each of the characters navigating “being out of the safety net of school” and the trials that come along with it.

‘The Testaments’ – Hulu, April
Image Credit: Disney April can’t arrive soon enough for fans of The Handmaid’s Tale, as its followup series, Hulu’s The Testaments, is set to premiere in the spring. Ann Dowd, who returns as her original role of Aunt Lydia, will be joined by Chase Infiniti as Agnes, Lucy Halliday as Daisy, Rowan Blanchard as Shunammite, Mattea Conforti as Becka, as well as Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana and Birva Pandya. Based on Margaret Atwood’s award-winning novel of the same name, The Testaments takes place in the dystopian theocracy of Gilead. Years after the events of The Handmaid’s Tale, the new series is a coming-of-age story that finds a new generation of young women in Gilead grappling with the bleak future that awaits them. Both shows may be difficult to watch, considering the state of the world today; however, they make for captivating television.

Described as part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale and part origin story of the American West, the new Little House On the Prairie stars Alice Halsey (Lessons in Chemistry, Days of Our Lives) as Laura Ingalls, Luke Bracey as Charles Ingalls, Skywalker Hughes as Mary Ingalls and Crosby Fitzgerald as Caroline Ingalls.

‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Season 2, Netflix – TBA

Season 2 focuses on Earth, specifically, with Aang (Gordon Cormier) finding a teacher in The Blind Bandit, aka Toph Beifong. Chin Han, Hoa Xuande, Justin Chien, Amanda Zhou, Crystal Yu, Kelemete Misipeka, Lourdes Faberes and Rekha Sharma are newcomers for the second installment.

‘My Life With The Walter Boys’ Season 3, Netflix – TBA

Following its renewal in May, Einbinder hinted that Season 5 could be the last for the HBO Max series from Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs and Jen Statsky. Plus The Summer I Turned Pretty breakout Christopher Briney has joined the cast of Season 5.

Image Credit: HBO After Season 3 netted record viewership for Julian Fellowes’ HBO series following the titular period that marked the turn of the 20th Century in America, Season 4 of The Gilded Age has many plot points to follow up on. From Marian (Louisa Jacobsen) and Larry’s (Harry Richardson) relationship to that of powerhouse couple George Russell (Morgan Spector) and his wife Bertha (Carrie Coon), there are many questions to drive the drama of Season 4. At least Gladys (Taissa Farmiga) ended up finding love in her arranged marriage to the Duke of Buckingham and Peggy Scott (Denée Benton) received a dream proposal from Dr. Kirkland (Jordan Donica).

Hailing from Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof and Tom King, Lanterns centers Stewart and Jordan as they investigate a murder in the American heartland and unpack a darker mystery. Cast also includes Kelly MacDonald, Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, Ulrich Thomsen, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Sherman Augustus, J. Alphonse Nicholson, Jason Ritter, Nathan Fillion, Chris Coy, and Paul Ben-Victor.
