‘Alien: Earth’ Creator Has No Plans For ‘Predator’ Crossover On Show

Although Predator recently ventured back into the world of Alien, it does not appear the crossover will go both ways to join the Xenomorph on Earth.

Alien: Earth creator Noah Hawley has revealed he is “not coordinating” any visit from the Yautja on his FX series spinoff, despite the universe previously making an appearance in director Dan Trachtenberg‘s Predator: Badlands, now in theaters.

“No, not onto the show, I don’t think,” Hawley said of the possibility on the Smartless podcast. “I think Dan Trachtenberg, who made Prey and has made the Badlands movie — you know, I loved Prey. I think he’s doing a great job with that franchise. He clearly has a plan there. I’ve met Dan once, we’re not kind of coordinating any of that stuff. So, it’s not really my plan to do it.”

Meanwhile, Trachtenberg previously confirmed to Deadline that “Badlands itself is definitely a crossover in that we have the Weyland-Yutani corporation as a huge part of the movie” in the form of Elle Fanning‘s Weyland-Yutani synth character Thia.

“And I think, sometimes there’s a tendency for a ‘versus’ movie to be grabbing all the action figures and smashing them together, and I thought it was really cool to just take an element from one franchise and fuse it with this one,” he explained. “So yeah, they’re a huge part of the movie.”

While another Alien Vs. Predator doesn’t appear to be in the cards for current shepherds of either franchise, Alien: Romulus (2024) co-writer/director previously teased that he would like to team up with Trachtenberg on a crossover.

Alien: Earth was renewed for Season 2 at FX last month.
