‘Merry Berry Love’ stars Ji Chang-Wook & Mio Imada Deadline

Disney+ unveiled KoreaJapan series Merry Berry Love (working title), starring Ji Changwook (The Manipulated) and Mio Imada (Tokyo Revengers).

The romantic comedy follows a down-on-luck Korean spatial designer Lee Yubin (played by Ji) and a strawberry farmer Karin Shirahama (played by Imada), who find love on a remote Japanese island.

The series is will be coming to Disney+ in 2026, and is developed and produced by CJ ENM, with Japan’s Nippon TV onboard as co-producer.

The series is currently being shot across Korea and Japan.

Merry Berry Love is directed by Kim Soojung (Semantic Error) and written by Lee Jaeyoon (Divorce Insurance).

“Chang-wook is older, so he is like a big brother to me, and I trust him a lot,” said Imada, from the Disney APAC Showcase in Hong Kong.
