EXCLUSIVE: Jeff Wahlberg (The Girl From Plainville) is set for a recurring role on the upcoming third season of HBO‘s hit drama Euphoria, we’ve learned. Details of his role are under wraps.
From Sam Levinson, the eight-episode third season of Euphoria will feature a time jump that takes the characters out of high school.
Zendaya returns to reprise her role of Rue Bennett, along with Hunter Schafer in her role as Jules Vaughn. Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow also will return as series regulars and Colman Domingo will return as a guest star. They will be joined by new series regulars Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry, who both were upped from recurring, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Toby Wallace. Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Dominic Fike, Melvin Bonez Estes, Nika King, Paula Marshall, Sophia Rose Wilson, and Zak Steine from the OG cast will return as well.
Levinson created, wrote, directed, and executive produced Euphoria, produced in partnership with A24.

Wahlberg’s breakout role came in indie feature Don’t Come Back From The Moon, adapted from Dean Bakopolous 2005 semi-autobiographical novel. He went on to appear in the Russo brothers-directed feature Cherry and Paramount’s Dora and the Lost City of Gold. On television, he most recently appeared in Hulu’s The Girl From Plainville. Wahlberg, nephew of Mark Wahlberg, will next be seen in the lead role of Corrin Evans’ indie horror feature, Corpus.
