EXCLUSIVE: Actor and producer Nicholas G. Sims has signed with Asteria Artists for management.
Sims will appear in the upcoming third season of Starz’s acclaimed drama P-Valley, the series created by Katori Hall. At Asteria, he’ll be represented by managers Jessica Moresco and Elle Maney.
The Alabama native counts credits on shows such as Hulu’s Wu-Tang: An American Saga and CBS’s East New York, and is starring as Phillip Lafayette Gibbs and executive producing limited series Blood on the Books, which centers on the 1970 Jackson State University shootings.
We first told you about that project, which explores the tragic but little-known civil rights story, in May, after Sims and Desmond Jackson of BVC Films struck a life rights agreement with the families of Phillip Gibbs and James Earl Green. The project also has full institutional support from Jackson State University.

“I’m excited to begin this next chapter with Jessica, Elle, and the entire Asteria team,” said Sims. “They understand the kind of artist I am and the kind of stories I want to tell – grounded, fearless, and full of heart. I want a career where I’ve thrown every color of paint on the canvas I possibly can.”
Asteria Artists was established in 2024 following the partnership between Maney and Moresco, both formerly of Unified Management. The female-led collective has added former Unified agent Dana Maxwell as a manager to the team. Moresco is the daughter of Academy Award-winning writer and producer Bobby Moresco.
Moresco had led Unified with veteran casting director Al Onorato, who passed away last year. Maney had worked with the pair at Unified for ten years.
The firm represents Joy Sunday (Wednesday), Devin Cecchetto (Wayward), and Nia Sondaya (Yellowjackets). Sims joins the roster as Asteria seeks to expand its footprint in film, television and theater.
