Bad Bunny hosted Saturday Night Live and paid homage to the Televisa sitcom classic El Chavo del Ocho.

The last sketch of the night was a parody of the Chespirito-created comedy series featuring Bad Bunny as Quico and Marcello Hernández as El Chavo.

Chloe Fineman played Quico’s mother, Doña Florinda, Sarah Sherman took on the role of La Chilindrina, while Andrew Dismukes played her father, Don Ramón.

The sketch also featured cameos from Kenan Thompson as El Señor Barriga, which SNL named in English, Mr. Stomach, and a surprise visit from Doña Florinda’s gallant suitor, Profesor Jirafales, played by Jon Hamm.

El Chavo del Ocho was a comedy series from the 1970s about a boy who lived in a barrel inside an apartment complex and all the trouble he got himself into with his neighbors due to misunderstandings and taking things too literally.

El Chavo del Ocho is a staple in Latino culture, still airing repeats from its extensive library of more than 300 episodes. The sitcom is available to stream in the U.S. on Televisa-Univision’s Vix platform.

The homage that aired on SNL on Saturday night captured the essence of the characters perfectly, with each actor mimicking the personalities of their respective characters masterfully.
