SCAD Film Festival’s TV Sidebar Tunes In ‘IT: Welcome To Derry,’ ‘All Her Fault’ & ‘I Love LA’; Dakota Fanning Honored

SCAD Savannah Film Festival’s second annual TV Sidebar is set, with the focus on three new series spanning horror, drama and comedy.

Running October 25-November 1 in Savannah, GA,, the fest will spotlight the HBO Original creepshow prequel IT: Welcome to Derry, Peacock’s missing-child drama All Her Fault starring Sarah Snook and Dakota Fanning and HBO’s Rachel Sennott comedy I Love LA.

The fest also said it will honor Emmy nominee Fanning with its Outstanding Achievement in Television Award on November 1.

SCAD’s TV Sidebar will screen episodes of the three new shows followed by conversations with creators and cast moderated by ​​Antonia Blyth, Deadline’s Executive Editor for Awardsline. It launches with a Halloween screening of IT: Welcome to Derry and an ensuing Q&A with cast members and director-EP Andy Muschietti and executive producer Barbara Muschietti, who also developed the series for television. Jason Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Bill Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee and Dan Lin also serve as EPs on the series that premieres October 26 on HBO and HBO Max.

Also on October 31 is the screening and panel for the HBO Original comedy series I Love LA, created by director, EP and star Sennott that revolves around an ambitious friend group that navigates life and love in the City of Angels. Blyth also will moderate the post-screening Q&A with Sennott and castmates Odessa A’zion, Josh Hutcherson, and True Whitaker. Also starring Jordan Firstman, I Love LA premieres November 2 on HBO and HBO Max.

The fest’s TV Sidebar wraps on November 1 with a screening of All Her Fault, created, written, and executive produced by Megan Gallagher. The logline: When a mother’s (Snook) young son suddenly disappears, a compelling, twist-filled adventure begins as the search for her son — and the truth — unfolds. Jake Lacy, Michael Peña, Sophia Lillis, Abby Elliott, Daniel Monks, Jay Ellis, Thomas Cocquerel, Duke McCloud and Kartiah Vergara also star alongside Snook and Fanning in the series that premieres November 6 on Peacock.

Ripley Emmy nominee Fanning will receive the Outstanding Achievement in Television Award that night.
