Bill Murray is swinging into a golf series for Paramount+ and the BBC.
The Groundhog Day star will embark on a road trip around Ireland in Off Course (working title), coming together with friends as they take in some of the island’s most breathtaking fairways.
Visiting locations in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, the six-part series will feature Murray’s long-time golfing companion Tom Coyne. Stellify Media and Skydance Sports produce the show.
Murray said: “I started out caddying, and golf was the best education I ever received. Ireland feels like the right place to put all that to work. They’ve got this wonderful word there, ‘craic,’ which means fun, but it means a lot of other things. A lot of good things. And this show will be about us finding it.”
Showrunners are Casey Scharf and Morgan Roberts, with Chris Cottam directing. Executive producers are Jesse Sisgold, Jason T. Reed, Jon Weinbach, and Greg Groggel for Skydance Sports. Kieran Doherty and Matthew Worthy executive produce for Sony-owned Stellify.
