The offices of KXTV (ABC10) in Sacramento were struck by gunfire Friday afternoon, Sacramento police Officer Anthony Gamble told Deadline. No one was injured.
The day before, the building of KXTV, an ABC affiliate station owned by Tegna, was the sight of a protest over the network’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the TV station shortly after 1:30 pm Friday. At least three gunshots were fired into a window of the building, which was occupied at the time, but fortunately no one was injured, Gamble said.
Detectives are at the scene and investigating whether the shooting was random or targeted. There is no suspect information at this time.

The demonstration outside the building Thursday was part of widespread protests over ABC’s suspension of Kimmel following his comments about Charlie Kirk, including one held outside Disney studios in Burbank and another in Hollywood where Jimmy Kimmel Live! is taped. Attendees at the Sacramento protest held signs reading “First Amendment” , “Resist” and “You’re Next” among others.
