EXCLUSIVE: Jason Shapiro has joined OPE Partners as a manager and head of the company’s newly launched digital division.
Shapiro will focus on building social strategies for current OPE clients — such as Jay Renshaw, whose viral hit character “Chit” has amassed 4 million followers this summer — and develop a digital roster.
Shapiro comes from Collab where he spent seven years, specializing in social growth, brand strategy and podcast production. He brings with him Daniela Mora, a stand-up comedian who was named as one of the NY Comedy Festival’s “Creators to Watch,” with Spencer Goldman, also known as Cerspence, whose characters have garnered over a billion views, as a new client
Shapiro, formerly a writer, created the popular Twitter account @LosFelizDaycare which spawned a Hulu pilot from 20th TV.

“We are committed to representing compelling voices across all mediums, and building bespoke businesses around them,” OPE founders Marc Provissiero and Naomi Odenkirk said. “Jason masterfully consulted with us when existing clients exploded with digital success, and the relationship grew from there. He was clearly a value-add to our firm, and his background as a writer made him a natural fit.”
OPE and Provissiero are producing the Universal Pictures action thriller sequel Nobody 2, starring Bob Odenkirk, which had its red carpet premiere last night, as well as the upcoming action film Normal, set to premiere at TIFF in the Midnight Madness slot. It also stars Odenkirk.
