EXCLUSIVE: Chris Witaske (The Bear), Christine Horn (Classified), and Sophia Reid-Gantzert (Death and Other Details) have joined Netflix‘s Bert Kreischer comedy Free Bert in recurring roles.
Character details are under wraps. Stand-up comedian Kreischer co-created, exec produces and stars as himself — shirtless comedian, party legend, perpetual wildcard — in Free Bert, where he finds himself in uncharted territory when his daughters are accepted to an elite Beverly Hills private school. When his unbridled antics turn his family into outcasts, he decides to “put on a shirt” and stifle his true nature to better fit in.
As previously announced, Arden Myrin also stars in the six-episode series, along with newcomers Ava Ryan and Lilou Lang, with Mandell Maughan aboard in a recurring role. In addition to Kreischer, the show is co-created and exec produced by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel (Huge in France, The Grinder), who serve as writers, directors and showrunners. Also executive producing the series are Kreischer’s wife, LeeAnn Kreischer; Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, and Elise Henderson for Counterpart Studios; as well as Judi Marmel.
