‘The Buccaneers’ Season 2 Release Schedule: When Do New Episodes Come Out?

Apple TV+’s period television show, based on the unfinished novel by Edith Wharton, was renewed for a second seaon early after its arrival at the end of 2023. Starring Kristine Frøseth as Nan St. George, Matthew Broome as Guy Thwarte, Guy Remmers as Theo, Christina Hendricks as Mrs. Patricia St. George and more, last season saw Nan make a difficult decision between two men — Guy and Theo, the Duke of Tintagel.

Season 2 of The Buccaneers arrives on Apple TV+ Wednesday, June 18 with only the first episode.

How many episodes are in Season 2 of The Buccaneers?

Season 2 will contain eight episodes, just like last season.

Aside from Frøseth, Remmers, Broome and Hendricks, returning cast for Season 2 include Alisha Boe as Conchita Closson, Aubri Ibrag as Elizabeth “Lizzy” Elmsworth, Josie Totah as Mabel Elmsworth, Imogen Waterhouse as Virginia “Jinny” St. George, Mia Threapleton as Honoria Marable, Josh Dylan as Lord Richard Marable and Barney Fishwick as Lord James Seadown.

Leighton Meester will make her debut in Season 2 as a new face, Nell, alongside Greg Wise as Reede Robinson, acob Ifan as Hector Robinson, Grace Ambrose as Paloma Ballardino and Maria Almeida as Cora Merrigan.

What happened in Season 1 of The Buccaneers?

In Season 1, Nan and her sister and friends traveled to England to snare themselves some husbands, minus Conchita, whose wedding kicked off the first episode. Each member of the core quintet has her own experience with love and relationships — Nan becoming torn between the dashing Guy Thwarte and the mysterious Theo, Lizzy dodging a bullet in Lord Seadown, Jinny getting caught up in Lord Seadown’s crosshairs and Mabel finding that she is not alone in her search for a soulmate. The Season 1 finale culminated in Nan choosing to marry Theo and have her true love Guy take her sister to escape from her abusive husband with their baby.
