EXCLUSIVE: ATX TV Festival is shaping up to be a TV lover’s paradise, as even more programming has been added to the Season 14 slate.
The festival revealed Friday that the upcoming event will now feature conversations for Duster and The Gilded Age, as well as a look inside the writers room of Shrinking. Also, Brett Goldstein and Zach Braff are joining the previously announced “Bill Lawrence & Friends” panel, and John Slattery will join the “Mad Men Revisited” retrospective, which is now being moderated by Noah Hawley.
HBO and Max are beefing up their presence at the festival by bringing the casts of both Duster and The Gilded Age to Austin. The Duster program will feature an advance screening of a new episode followed by a conversation with producer/writer LaToya Morgan and stars Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, Keith David, and Asivak Koostachin.

Set in the 1970s Southwest, Duster explores the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate that goes from dangerous to wildly, stupidly dangerous when a tenacious young agent comes into town hellbent on taking his crime family down. The series premieres May 15 on Max.
As for The Gilded Age, Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski (who is also being honored with the TV Excellence Award), and Morgan Spector will revisit the drama of the first two seasons as the Russells and van Rhijns vie for power and influence in 1880s New York City high society. The conversation will also include a preview of Season 3, set to return this June on HBO and Max.
Shrinking writers Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Neil Goldman, Bill Posley, Ashley Nicole Black, Sofi Selig, and Zack Bornstein will also be in town to pull back the curtain on the process for crafting the Apple TV+ hit.
These new additions join a host of previously announced programming including and Opening Night Marquee Conversation with Seth Meyers, a conversation with Andor creator and EP Tony Gilroy and writer Beau Willimon, The Leftovers reunion with EPs and cast, a tenth anniversary celebration of UNReal, a Mad Men retrospective with Jon Hamm, a one-on-one conversation with Baranski, and more.
As mentioned above, Slattery will now join Hamm for that retrospective, guided by Hawley. The “Bill Lawrence & Friends” conversation is part of the festival’s Closing Night line-up, for which single tickets are currently available in limited quantities.
