Quinta Brunson is multitasking.
In the first promo for her Saturday Night Live hosting stint this weekend, the Abbott Elementary star and creator goes through concepts for skits with an idea not just to be funny, but also to help stockpile stuff against the Trump tariffs.
“What if we did sketches centered around items affected by the tariffs?” she asks. “Then we can keep the items after the show.”
Enter Heidi Gardner dressed like a pageant queen, but with a gown made entirely from toilet paper. Gardner has questions about the situation.
“It could be your new original character,” Brunson suggests. “You even have a catchphrase.”

Gardner responds gamely with, “If there’s pee, it should be on me”
