Jude Law is currently winning raves for his role as FBI Agent Terry Husk, a man on the trail of domestic terrorists in 1983 America in The Order, a movie he also produced.
He joins me in conversation for this week’s edition of my Deadline video series, The Actor’s Side to talk about his extraordinary work on this film as well as a career that has never slowed down. That includes such highlights as his Oscar-nominated turns in The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Road To Perdition, in addition to numerous others like Closer, The Holiday, Genius, Peter Pan & Wendy, Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil, Contagion, Sherlock Holmes, The Aviator, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Nest, Hugo, Fantastic Beasts and countless others.
Law talks about taking charge of many of his projects now as a producer, in addition to finding new challenging acting roles, whether it is stage, screen or TV. We talk about many of the highlights of his career in each of these mediums, and he even describes what it was like to have to get naked on stage on Broadway eight times a week in a play with Kathleen Turner earlier in his career. He also talks about more recent films like outrageously playing King Henry VIII in Firebrand; Ron Howard’s latest film Eden, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival; the upcoming Disney + series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and so much more.
