Producers Guild Sets Show Dates For 2027 & 2028 Awards

There must be something in the water today. First the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and ABC got things rolling with the anticipated announcement of ceremony dates for both the 99th and 100th Oscar shows (March 14, 2027 and March 5, 2028). That was quickly followed by SAG-AFTRA’s announcement of its Actor Awards show dates for the next two years (February 28, 2027 and February 20, 2028). And now stepping right in line is the PGA with its info for the next two Producers Guild Awards.

Today, the Producers Guild of America announced key dates for the 2027 Producers Guild Awards, which will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2027. They also said the 2028 PGA Awards will take place on Saturday, February 19, 2028.

The PGA Awards ceremony is often a harbinger for Oscars, most recently this year with the crowning of eventual Best Picture Oscar winner One Battle After Another. The guild’s annual show celebrates the work and accomplishments of producers and recognizes outstanding achievements in producing across various categories, including theatrical motion pictures, TV, documentaries, animation and emerging media.

The most recent ceremony recognized influential film producers with special honors including Amy Pascal, who received the David O. Selznick Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures; Jason Blum, who received the Milestone Award; and Mara Brock Akil, who received the Norman Lear Achievement Award in Television. Top honors, in addition to One Battle After Another, went to The Pitt, KPop Demon Hunters, The Studio, Adolescence and Traitors.
