As Running Point heads into another quarter, the Netflix basketball comedy series is bringing in some reserve players.
On Thursday, the streamer debuted the first trailer for Season 2 of the series, featuring returning stars Kate Hudson and Jason Theroux, as well as guest appearances from Octavia Spencer, Lisa Rinna, Nicole Richie, Scott Speedman and co-creator Ike Barinholtz.
In Season 2, premiering April 23 on Netflix, Isla Gordon (Hudson) is determined she’s not just keeping her brother Cam’s (Theroux) seat warm while leading the Los Angeles Waves, following last season’s scandal. Meanwhile, Cam is quietly plotting to reclaim his post, turning every misstep into ammunition.
From creators Elaine Ko, Mindy Kaling, David Stassen and Barinholtz, Running Point also stars Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Chet Hanks, Toby Sandeman and Uche Agada.
