EXCLUSIVE: PCCW Media and Crazy Rich Asians producer SK Global’s premium series, The Season, will receive a global release in June 2026.
The six-part series will be available on Viu across markets in Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa, on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S., and Now TV in Hong Kong.
Fremantle is handling international sales on the series alongside De Maio Entertainment.
The English-language series features an ensemble cast of international talent, including Jessie Mei Li (Shadow And Bone), Chris Pang (Crazy Rich Asians), Lee Jae-yoon (Physical 100 Season 2), Karena Lam, Justin Chien (The Brothers Sun), Yvonne Chapman (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Celina Jade (Wolf Warrior 2), and Toby Stephens (Percy Jackson And The Olympians).
Chilean director Marialy Rivas (The Jetty) served as the show’s lead director and executive producer. The show follows a close-knit group of friends gathering for a summer of sun-drenched luxury as Hong Kong’s boating season begins.

The official synopsis reads: The Season, a champagne-fueled revenge drama, unfolds during Hong Kong’s high society summer, where connections are everything, and nothing is quite as it seems. At the center is the Hext family, an old-money institution that rules the city’s elite. through yacht parties, horse races, and charity galas – while secrets and scandals simmer beneath the surface.
Into this world steps Cola, a newcomer with a hidden agenda. As rivalries ignite and alliances turn lethal, the season builds to a climactic reckoning that threatens to shatter the fabric of high society.
Agatha Lo executive produced for PCCW Media and Chloe Dan, Matt Aragachi, and Dylan Tarason for SK Global, with Aaron Shershow (Expats) as producer.
The cast is rounded out by model and actress Kōki, musician and actor Anson Lo of the band Mirror, and Marf Yau from the band Collar.
The cast and creative team behind the show reunited this afternoon at Filmart in Hong Kong. Teasing the series, Janice Lee, CEO, PCCW Media Group & Viu, described The Season as a “story of redemption with characters who will resonate with audiences globally.”
