EXCLUSIVE: There’s a new plan underway to bring more U.S. scripted productions to the UK.
The UK-based CMG Productions and the U.S.’s Moscot Global Production Services have teamed to hatch the plan, which they say will create a bridge for American studios, producers and platforms into the UK.
Hollywood studios have long used the UK as a production base, thanks to the myriad studios and production facilities in the country and favorable tax breaks for scripted productions of scale. With funding still challenged, international production remains an attractive option for many American producers.
Today’s deal sees CMG, which is led by Claire McArdle and Rebecca Knight, become the exclusive provider of UK scripted production services to Moscot Global and its projects. CMG will provide full production and post-production services, and help U.S. companies with infrastructure and networks. It will also facilitate access to the UK tax credit system and any applicable regional incentives.

CMG is known for work on the likes of Paramount+ series MobLand and The Agency, while Moscot Global is led by Gregg Moscot, the former COO of Sony Pictures Television-backed B17. Together they plan to help international partners with cross-border logistics, funding and creative vision.
McArdle and Knight are both former Paramount (then Viacom) execs, with the former known as a Comedy Central International commissioner and the latter as a veteran of structuring international productions. They have jointly run CMG as a co-CEOs since 2021.
Former Discovery and ITV exec Moscot launched Moscot Global last year following his exit from B17. His company positions itself as a U.S.-based physical production services partner and international production facilitation company.
“Gregg’s unparalleled knowledge and expertise navigating the US production market makes Moscot Global an ideal partner for CMG Productions,” said Knight. “We are excited to enable his slate of UK scripted projects to be made as part of a seamless production pipeline that facilitates international collaboration. The door is always open to U.S. studios, producers and partners looking to bring productions to the UK.”
“CMG Productions is exactly the kind of partner we look to align with, added Moscot, who is founder and CEO of Moscot Global. “They are trusted, experienced, and deeply knowledgeable about the UK production landscape. As more U.S. producers look abroad for strategic production solutions, this partnership gives them a clear trusted path into the UK with the right infrastructure, local expertise, and support to execute at a high level.”
