Love won on the season finale of ¿Apostarías por Mí? with Alejandra Jaramillo and Beta Mejía crowned as winners.
After eight weeks of testing their love, Alejandra and Beta won the TelevisaUnivision reality competition and took home a cash prize of $206,082 dollars. The couple had 40.1% of the vote, beating out Laysha and “El Malito,” who were the runners-up.
Following their win, Alejandra and Beta spoke with Deadline about their triumphant run in the competition and what they have planned for the future.
“We are extremely happy, very grateful because this win is of the people,” Beta told us. “It was the people who believed in us. [The feeling right now] is a combination of gratefulness with happiness.”
Alejandra added, “It hasn’t even been 24 hours, and we are still assimilating this gift from the people. The public gave us this blessing from God, and we can hardly believe that we are the winners of ¿Apostarías por Mí? We are so grateful and so happy.”

During the final week of the competition, Alejandra and Beta were not too sure that they would even make it to the finale night. Alejandra and Beta were the last couple to take up a spot among the four finalists, and Beta felt that his dream of winning “was drifting away.”
“I felt that my dream was escaping because the plan was to win the challenges,” he said.
However, the audience pulled through in the end, and they had enough votes to keep them in the game and ultimately win the competition.
Alejandra feels that showing themselves to be vulnerable throughout this eight-week experience is what made the audience connect with them and vote for them as winners.
“The [audience] never saw us give up under any circumstances, because despite any issues, we always tried and try again and try again,” she said. “This [competition] doesn’t end until it ends, and when we changed that [mindframe], it was when we started to enjoy [the game] a little more.”
Although they won the show, Alejandra and Beta don’t think they would put themselves through something like that again and instead have their sights set on hosting a competition of their own.
“We are going to manifest hosting,” Alejandra said, adding, “I don’t think as contestants. However, we remain grateful for the gift that the public gave us for winning the first season of [the show]. We will stay with that. We are more than satisfied and grateful, and now we will continue to work for other dreams that we have.”
Beta noted that they are “open to all opportunities” that may arise following their time on ¿Apostarías por Mí? and manifesting “blessings, listening, opening, and not closing doors. We want to build a family, become parents… That’s the priority. In regard to work, we want to explore being hosts, maybe something together, at an award shows… we want to do all of that, that we enjoy doing.”
Alejandra says they “dream together” and is hopeful that “big things are coming” their way.
In the meantime, they both want to organize a meet-and-greet to express their gratitude to all the people who made them the champions of ¿Apostarias por Mí? Season 1.
