Saturday Night Live UK is officially cranking into action.
Comcast-owned Sky has released the first teaser trailer for the British remake of NBC’s iconic sketch show. The 30-second video introduces the cast members as they parade down a London street and into a venue emblazoned with a neon Saturday Night Live UK sign.
“Live from London, it’s Saturday night,” a voiceover intones over a soundtrack of “Go” by The Chemical Brothers. “The new faces of Saturday Night Live have arrived on Sky.”
Cast members include Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young.
Plans for a British version of SNL were officially confirmed last April, with the six-episode first installment to premiere on Sky on March 21. Guest presenters are expected to be confirmed soon, with The Sun reporting that Tina Fey will host an episode. Sky declined to comment.
