Elisabeth Hasselbeck returned to The View to offer her conservative voice at the table as Alyssa Farah Griffin is on maternity leave.
Although Hasselbeck doesn’t have a problem going back to her stomping grounds, a place viewers won’t see her again is on Survivor.
With the 50th season of the CBS competition bringing back past contestants, The View producer asked Hasselbeck if she had ever been asked to return to the reality series.
“They have,” Hasselbeck confirmed on the Behind the Table podcast before saying her answer to them was a “Solid no. Solid no, every single time.”
Brian Teta specifically asked if she had been asked to be part of the milestone season, to which the former co-host said, “I think, maybe, there was an indirect ask. I think I’d trained them to know [I’d say no].”

Hasselbeck was cast on Survivor’s second season and was voted out on Day 39, finishing in fourth place and becoming the sixth jury member. In 2003, she was asked to return to the competition and appear on Survivor: All-Stars, but she declined the offer. That same year, Hasselbeck became a co-host on The View, replacing Lisa Ling.
On The View‘s podcast, Hasselbeck explained why she wouldn’t return to Survivor now, saying, “I don’t think I could leave the kids. I barely want to miss a [sports] game today that I know is going on.”
Survivor 50 features notable players returning including The White Lotus creator Mike White, first featured in Season 37: David Vs. Goliath. Other castaways include Season 1’s Jenna Lewis-Dougherty, Season 2’s Colby Donaldson, and Cirie Fields, competing for the fifth time.
