Nicole Wallace Reveals She Wants To Work In The States

YA sensation Nicole Wallace is looking to the U.S. for her next project.

The star of the Culpables franchise, who has an exclusive talent deal in place with Amazon MGM Studios, said she would love to work in America at today’s starry Prime Video international showcase.

“I’m very focused on growing my partnership with Amazon in the States,” said Wallace, when questioned on what’s to come over the coming years. “Being able to kind of put my foot there in some way, just trying to make the best out of this moment, and make good decisions.”

Wallace is a Spanish actress who was born in Spain but holds both Spanish and U.S. citizenship. She plays Noah in Prime Video’s smash hit Culpables franchise, which comes out of Spain and is part of Mercedes Ron’s “House of Ron” universe. Amazon just revealed it has hit 100 million views worldwide, mostly from outside of Spain.

Wallace is next set to star in Prime Video’s Postcards from Italy, which recently wrapped production in Sicily and is an Italian project shot in English, along with Latin American Isabel Allende adaptation The House of Spirits.

On the latter, which will debut at next week’s Berlinale TV sidebar, Wallace said the adaptation is “very respectful.” “It holds so much admiration from everyone that’s been in it that I think that really comes through in the work,” she added. “I think everyone is very conscious about the story we wanted to tell.”

Wallace has “an exclusive talent-holding deal” with Amazon MGM Studios. “For me the exclusivity contract means an amazing opportunity and a lot of trust in a streamer like Prime Video in me, and being able to just have the peace and calmness to have someone like them support me and being able to find amazing stories and characters,” she said today.

Wallace was one of a number of Prime Video stars appearing at the showcase alongside the likes of Alia Bhatt and Stanley Tucci. The day was presented by Amazon top brass Kelly Day and Nicole Clemens.
