NBC To Repeat ‘The Fall And Rise Of Reggie Dinkins’ Pilot After ‘SNL’

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, which stars and is exec produced by a raft of Saturday Night Live alumni, is getting a repeat behind the venerable late-night show.

NBC will repeat the pilot episode of the comedy, which stars Tracy Morgan and Bobby Moynihan and is exec produced by Tina Fey, behind SNL on February 28 at 1am.

It is the latest project featuring a current or former SNL castmate to land a slot behind Lorne Michaels’ vehicle; the network did something similar around Kenan Thompson’s Kenan, which premiered in 2021, and Tina Fey-exec produced Great News, which premiered in April 2017 and was repeated after SNL repeats in the summer.

This comes after the series debuted to 5.8M live + same-day viewers last month after the midseason comedy was handed an early premiere behind an NFL playoff game between the Los Angeles Rams and Chicago Bears last month. It was NBC’s most-watched comedy series debut in three years, since Night Court.

Watch on Deadline

The second episode of the series will air on Monday February 23 after another repeat of the pilot with its continuing its run on Mondays at 8:30pm from March 2.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins follows a disgraced former football player (Morgan) on a mission to rehabilitate his image. It also stars Daniel Radcliffe, Erika Alexander, Precious Way and Jalyn Hall.

The pilot’s writers Robert Carlock and Sam Means executive produce with Morgan, Fey, Eric Gurian and David Miner. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins is produced by Universal Television, Little Stranger, Bevel Gears, Means End Productions, Streetlife Productions and 3 Arts.
