Savannah Guthrie Admits To “Hour Of Desperation” In Search For Missing Mother; Pleads In New Video For Tips To End “This Nightmare”

Nearly 10 days since her mother was last seen, Savannah Guthrie took to social media today to plead for help from the public

“We are at an hour of desperation, and we need your help,” the Today co-host said as the ongoing search for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie enters “another week of this nightmare.”The elder Guthrie reported missing at midday on February 1, after being dropped off by a relative at her Tucson-area home at around 9 pm local time the night before.

In a short solo video just put up online, Savannah Guthrie told her 1.6 million IG followers: “She was taken, and we don’t know where, and we need your help. So I’m coming on just to ask you, not just for your prayers, but no matter where you are, even if you’re far from Tucson, if you see anything, you hear anything, if there’s anything at all that seems strange to you, that you report to law enforcement.”

After Guthrie and her two siblings put a previous video on February 7 offering to pay suspected kidnappers for their mother’s release and return, the Pima County Sheriff’s department once again conceded on Sunday that they and the FBI have “no suspects, persons of interest, or vehicles have been identified.”

The FBI has offered a $50,000 reward for information that results in Nancy Guthrie being found.

Last week, as DNA samples, blood traces and evidence that Nancy Guthrie was “taken from her home against her will” emerged, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed that the victim is in need of lifesaving medication — medications she has not seemingly had in over a week now.
