Marvel fans got their first look at Krysten Ritter‘s return to the MCU in the trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 on Tuesday.
The trailer, which was also accompanied by several stills from the upcoming season that are embedded below, sets the stage for what appears to be an all-out war between Charlie Cox’s titular masked vigilante Matt Murdock and kingpin Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio). The intense footage doesn’t give much context for what, exactly, is to come but it does make clear the Fisk is still mayor — and it’s causing some big problems.
Amid the chaos, as Daredevil is resisting from the shadows, he gets a little help from an old friend: Jessica Jones.

Daredevil: Born Again is described as “the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most intense street-level drama.” Season 2, which is eight episodes, will premiere on March 24.
In Season 2, “Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.”
Created by Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord and Matt Corman, the series also stars Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye and Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn. This season also introduces Matthew Lillard as the mysterious Mr. Charles.
