Heated Rivalry stars and make-believe hockey players Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie will participate in the Winter Olympics for real: Not as athletes but as official torchbearers.
HBO Max revealed the news on Instagram today, with a photo of the two in character and hockey gear and a headline message “We’re coming to the Olympic Torch Relay.”
“They brought the heat. Now they’re carrying the torch,” goes the post. “Heated Rivalry stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie are joining the Olympic Torch Relay for #MilanoCortina2026 as official torchbearers.”
No indication of exactly where they’ll join the relay or when. The Olympic Torch Relay concludes just ahead of the Milan games’ opening ceremony on February 6.

Heated Rivalry, in which the two actors portray professional hockey playing rivals who fall in love, has become a pop culture phenomenon here in the States, but the torchbearers certainly won’t go unrecognized outside North America: HBO Max has the rights to the Crave Original series not only in the U.S. but Australia, Asia, Latin America and Europe.
The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 will stream on HBO Max in the U.S. as well as Europe. The opening ceremony is on February 6 and the games run until February 22.
