Katie Ginella Exits Bravo’s ‘Real Housewives Of Orange County’ After 2 Seasons

Katie Ginella will not be part of the landmark season of The Real Housewives of Orange County as she confirmed she is exiting the Bravo series.

In a post on social media, Ginella announced she will not be returning to RHOC as filming for Season 20 looms.

“After two seasons as a cast member on RHOC, the network has decided to move forward with Season 20 without me,” Ginella said in a statement posted on Instagram. “While disappointing, it’s not entirely surprising after seeing how Season 19 played out.”

She continued, “I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support I received — it was seen, felt, and deeply appreciated. Representation matters, and I’m proud to have shown up authentically, even when it wasn’t easy. This chapter may be closing, but my voice and my story don’t end there.”

Ginella joined Season 18 of the franchise and struggled to make connections with her RHOC co-stars. She clashed with Emily Simpson, and the animosity between them grew after Ginella’s daughter took to social media to make digs at the RHOC ladies. Ginella returned for Season 20, but things only got worse when she failed a lie detector test when asked about leaking storylines to a blogger.

Things among the cast got so intense that Ginella took a break from filming and was largely unseen afterward, except for a scene with Tamra Judge.

Bravo opting not to bring back Ginella for RHOC Season 20 is interesting, given that she was one of the most cheered on Housewives at BravoCon last year. Ginella has maintained a friendship with Judge and has been spotted taking photos with the OG of the OC, Vicki Gunvalson, who will be returning for Season 20.
