Big Brother host Julie Chen today remembered Mickey Lee, a contestant on the show last summer who died last night following a series of cardiac arrests.
In her post, Chen seemed to reveal a detail about Lee’s medical condition that may have played a part in her death: She was born with a hole in her heart.
On December 22, a GoFundMe page was published seeking funds to help Lee defer costs of medical treatment.
“Mickey recently suffered a series of cardiac arrests and is now in the ICU in critical but stable condition,” reads the post. Those incidents followed had Lee’s bout with the flu.

Chen also revealed that “as an adult she survived an ATV accident that should have killed her.”
